Preseason Scrimmages

Sevier County has a home scrimmage on Friday 8/9 against Gibbs at 6:30.

Yeah, Clinton didn't look very good in my opinion. Clinton has some talented players, but their offensive line just wasn't opening up any holes for the running backs and the QB was whistled down at least 4 or 5 times.  The defense didn't impress me at all, but my standards are very high when it comes to defense. 

Hopefully, Clinton was just using this scrimmage the way they are intended and just working on the things that need worked on. They scrimmage CAK this Friday. Hopefully we'll see some improvement.

I'm not sure. It's not unusual for Clinton to scrimmage CAK. Clinton has scrimmaged them several times in recent years. 

Maybe the smaller schools wanted to scrimmage a larger school? Good question.

I guess you could be correct. If I am a public school I would never scrimmage a private. They get a look at your kids and then can offer things a public school shouldn't be able to offer. Now we all know how certain public schools are when it comes to recruiting, but if I am clinton with all the turmoil they have currently I am not going to risk the transfers I got in to potentially leave for a nearby private.
