I was shocked to see in the paper this morning that Fulton was beaten my Gibbs last night. I realize that many of their players were in Football and may not be back yet but in the past their J.V. team could have handled Gibbs. Is this going to be a down year for the Falcons? Will the Football players make a great difference? Has Gibbs improved that much? Is it a combination of all of these things?

I saw where they are still missing the Whetsel kid and the Wilkerson kid last night, so that might make a little difference. However, the Minor kid did play. I think they will have a "down" year for Fulton. That doesn't mean they will be terrible because Coach Wright can take some average players and coach them up better than anyone. My guess is that a .500 year would be good for them this year.

I didn't go to the game last night so i don't knwo what was goin on with them! But one thing is for sure...this basketball team needed somethin to get them started! With all the hype about football, it was hard for people to get into basketball at all. Hopefully this will be the spark that light our fire!!! I guess we'll see Friday when we play Carter at Home!!!

By the way....this has been a year for record-breaking at Fulton: Football team went to state for first time since 74, girls losing streak continues, bball team gets beat by Gibbs for first time in 10 years!!! I knwo it's a looooooong way off...but maybe this record-breaking will continue...or should i say maybe the record-MAKING will start....you smart ones will knwo what I mean!!! Let's just say I wouldn't mind makin the 3 hour drive to the Boro again....but right now that looks doubtful......but that's a LOOOOOOOONG way away!!!

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
