Josh is averaging about 35 a game. This is almost unheard of. A few facts:

Jason Holwerda never averaged more than 27 and was Mr. Basketball twice.

Josh averaged about 14 points a game last year fighting an injury the entire season.

Opinion: If McCallie can get consistent scoring from some others, they will win the state. They have done this only once this year, vs. Temple and the whole team went off to humiliate last years state Champs. But every game since then there has only been one game where a player other than Josh had double figures. They will win, but when they run up against the good teams, they will not. But if the other guys can step up and even if that means Josh scores less, they will win.

NB-Josh is the kind of kid who would give up points if the team could win. I am a big Suddath fan, I hope the best for him the rest of the way.

Last night Suddath dropped somewhere around 40 points last night. The thing is the majority of them were transition layups, but he shot about 5 of 10 from beyond the arc. Suddath is a mature player, he knows what to do and when to do it. He has made quite a statement so far this year especially after having a quiet junior season. Although he has done an amazing job so far, McCallie needs to have more points from around the team inorder to bring home the hardware.

Josh Suddath is 6'3''. He is just as pure inside the arc as he is outside it. If you double team him then you will have to deal with a kid named Kyle White (10-10 3pt. vs. Temple) and if you guard him then they will pound it inside to a big kid from Wyoming. He's about 6'6'' and has great hands and good range.

The key is the health of the team. They have good depth and great energy. Can they stay healthy? Only time will tell!
