That was a ridiculous Region for a school like Oneida!Glad they fixed it.Had no business there.

I know right, placed in a district with the largest 2a schools in the state when we are one of the smallest. Also it’s arguably the toughest district there is in 2a considering GP, Alcoa and AE are in it… one more year of that then our guys will drop down and bully the single A’s. So I guess you can say it’s makin our kids better for next year.

Back to football…

Don’t really know how I feel about this one this week. Offense has to make plays and put some points on the board, if not, we lose. Straight forward as that… This is do or die if our guys want to make the playoffs so hopefully they come out with some pep in their step and high energy.

I think it will be a good game. Looking forward to watching.

14-0 - Oneida

It was arguably the hardest district in the state. Pretty sure it actually was.

This game should have an impact on the future of the program. Should is a powerful word because I’m not sure many of our education leaders care about sports. We are in AA for several more years, and it looks like fighting for a playoff spot is becoming a standard. I have been relatively quiet simply because of disappointment. I created the account with big plans of supporting our program and chatting about upcoming games. Yet, I find myself waiting til late Wednesday before I even want to think about the game. Anyway, this week… I know we have as many or more talented athletes as TP. For all the other aspects of the game, I’m clueless. Glad we are at home, maybe that will help some.

That’s what kills me about Oneida football over the last 10 years. They always seem to have more athletes than the opposing team. (Always have big strong athletic lineman) At some point you have to look at why these kids aren’t getting developed or producing on Friday nights from a coaching/staff standpoint.
