McGavock Tournament

What teams will be at the McGavock Tournament This weekend? How about some predictions on who will win @ each weight and which school will win the overall Tournament.

The tournament will be loaded with weak teams and I predict that one of them will win it.

Thanks so much for the intelligent input. Which "weak team" is going to win Hound? What "weak" wrestler should we look for in each weight class to somehow find the strength to win ?

As I recall there were several kids in this tournament last year that went on to place in the state tournament.

I think I heard MLK will be there. If so watch out for Jenkins @ 152. He is on a roll. He walked thru the Overton tourney pinning everyone. He is a fine wrestler as well as fine young man.

Does anyone know if Pack from McGavock is going down to 152?

Pack won the tournament last year at 152 and is looking really tough this year at 160.

I noticed in the last post that Johnson from Antioch did not make the finals at 152 or 160. Did he wrestle in this tournament? If so, what weight class? How did he do? If he did wrestle who beat him? Just curious. I have seen him wrestle this year at a couple of different weight classes. Does anyone know what weight he will end up at come region tournament time?

hey was at 60, and he lost to Beasley from Harpeth in the Semi's, and then lost to Bird from MLK for 3rd and 4th

How tall is Byrd from MLK? Isn't he the 160? How good is Beasley? Will he beat Pack the next time? I saw Pack earlier and he's good on his feet.

Byrd is about 6'3" He is 160

Beasley is pretty good.

It's hard to say whether he beats Pack again or not.

Tim has shown he can be very good and even when he's not at his best he is still tough to beat.
