They look like pretenders.

I'm not so sure about that. Gregory has made solid hires on the offensive side of the ball with Davy Cothron and Eric Vetetoe; now he has someone else to blame. I came to Hartsville during the holiday season and people were showing great excitement for the upcoming year. Pressure is on from the administration to perform well. The good thing for Gregory is that it can't get much worse than last year.. Is that Eden guy still on staff?

Who are your sources that informed you about those hires? You could not be more wrong. Eden is the offensive coordinator, and Cothron & Vetetoe have nothing to do with the program. Vetetoe would be a great addition to that staff though. He's a guy who has won everywhere he has been!!

My sources in Trousdale County have and will continue to be reliable. Gregory and Eric Vetetoe have a history that some may not know about; Gregory had a meeting with him about being the offensive coordinator during the head coach hiring process last year.It may not be completely public yet, but Eric Vetetoe and Davy Cothron are running the show on offense this upcoming season. I have also heard from my sources that Cothron has been doing double duty-working out the baseball and football players. It's good to hear that Eden is still on staff as Offensive Coordinator; I'm a firm believer that he is who should have been named the head coach many years ago. He has earned and deserves that opportunity. So how will all of this work? Will Vetetoe and Cothron be working under Eden?

Would love to know of your sources as I also have the utmost reliable sources and no such move has been solidified. While there has been plenty of movement on the staff this offseason. Coach Vetetoe is currently the offensive coordinator at Oakland. It would take the right situation for him to leave that role. Is it possible he returns to the Creekbank? Sure it is.

    • Dead Period does not mean the fans can't talk about football. 59 days and counting to opening season kickoff for most teams. Also wanted to share a picture of Coach Ted Wilson who won State Championships at Maryville in 1970,76 & 78 on his 91st. birthday a couple of weeks ago with his kids a lot of us went to school with. Coach is wearing his Kingsport D-B jacket which I know a lot of their fans would enjoy seeing. .
    • Any thoughts on what you seen these past few weeks? Got to see several top teams as well as players and some who didn’t live up to the hype.  Some players of note. My personal observation was that Chelby Jordan was the best player I saw. Great skill set and great attitude, definitely should be getting more love as she was the best player on the floor every time. EB McDonald has taken a big step and should have a great year. Roberts girl from Grace continues to impress and they should be a tough out. Bartlett didn’t seem to be playing everyone, not sure if they’re injured but seemed to have 2-3 sitting the few days I saw them. Bradley Central isn’t the world beater they have been but definitely still good enough to win it with Kimora. Some of the private schools looked strong, PCA and Lipscomb well coached, Ensworth had some young talent but look lost at times.
    • They were missing 2, one being Chaffin. Johnson had hand surgery right after the state tournament. He was just released to play the day before BCAT started.
    • State tournament has nothing to do with Miss Basketball. It's a regular season award.
