Dang, CoachT! How many moderators does this board need? I glance up at the top and it looks like the cast to The Lord of The Rings! You have about 3 guys who bird-dog this board pretty doggone hard (for better or worse), and I sincerely doubt you need more people with single-ply toilet paper thin skin (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) with their finger on the delete or lock button. But, that just my humble opinion.

The biggest reasons for the number of moderators is that there are fans on here about 20-21 hours a day. Some of the mods are on here late and some are on during the day. I would certainly rather have too many as too few. Most of the deleting and locking is done by me, though, after fans send Bad Post? messages to me. I, for one, greatly appreciate what the mods do.

....and I resent the comment about the thin single ply toilet paper, since I'm in the business of selling the stuff. Thin single ply toilet paper is known in the trade as John Wayne toilet paper. John Wayne, all of the moderators on the football board and thin single ply toilet paper are rough and tough and don't take ____ off nobody!!

(I'm working on another "free good mark" from Bighurt.)

I think the number of moderators is very long, but CoachT has the right to manage his website however he sees fit. Since most of us work during the day, we can't always read every post that is made on all of the different message boards. I think CoachT would rather have too many rather than not enough people reading and correcting problems, instead of allowing some things to stay on the boards all day or all night before they are changed. Everyone agrees to live by the rules when they join this website and part of our job is to fix problems before they get out of hand. This is not a place to bash people just because you have the power to do so. I know it can be therapeutic to "vent" every now and then and I do my share of that on here, but we can do these things without using names or making it personal.

Personally, it doesn't bother me if someone says something bad about any team so long as it is presented as an opinion of the posting individual, or as an educated rumor. It should just be about the subject at hand, which here, is Tennessee HS football. But I'm a pretty secure guy. :)

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
