for 2003 fall

division II: Baylor state champs (wont even be close: senior dominated class full of top select players). Plus jimmy weekly is the top coach in high school soccer. BGA has several bona fide stars (jamie bullock, tara hodson) and some new youngsters to help (haley proffit), so they should get back to the final four. Pope John Paul the new catholic school has some big time talent and top players and could make a splash onto the scene(zero depth though).

AAA: hendersonville: state champs: Andrea Stefak is a star and will be a senior with plenty of help from 10 and 11th graders. If everyone stays healty, coach plummer could be the suprise state champ.

Franklin had huge graduations losses but still should be a factor because of monica duhnam. Centennial will be loaded with strong young talent and could be a factor. Brentwood should be above average. Germantown will be down for both schools. Timing could be right for hendersonvile.

Are you talking about current eighth or ninth graders transferring to Hutch from St. Mary's?

The curret Hutchison ninth grade group was amazing this year with the only freshman all-state selection, Abby Zanone, coming from a group that includes Liza Wellford, Elizabeth Krausnick, Joy Thompson, and Sophie Jones playing on varsity. All have been at Hutch since pre K except for Wellford, who came in the sixth grade.

What girls from St. mary's are you talking about??

Ther were a few in the current ninth grade who came in 8th grade, I think a couple play volleyball. Wellford came in sixth grade but i didn't know it was from St. Mary's. She's an awesome athlete. She was 2nd in the state last year in the 300 M Hurdles as an eighth grader. She scored 26 goals this year, but a LOT of attention was drawn away from her because of Brooke Binswanger. It will be interesting to see how she adjusts to being THE scorer.

Put money on these predictions. I guarantee them.

Division II champs in 2003: Baylor again :D

AAA champs in 2003: Germantown's back :D

A-AA champs in 2003: DCA's come close, watch out in '03 :D

DCA's Courntey Dunlap: Yes, I believe she'll break into the Top 10 scoring list in United States girls soccer history.

I saw Brazil's and your predictions.

The Freshman and Sophmore classes for Franklin and Centennial are very "loaded".....with impact players.

It will be difficult to get by either one of these teams

in an 8 team format.....even for a Junior/Senior laden

team.

Good luck, the next few Falls in TN will be special!

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
