hey just to update everyone on how the Farragut vs. Franklin gam went... Farragut won 4 to 0. All four goals were scored in the first half and Farragut completely controlled it. The second half was a lot closer than the first...it was more back and forth. Just thought I would let everyone know. Oh yeah, Farragut and most likely Hendersonville will be playing tomorrow in the finals of The Katie Hunter Tournament. It should definitely be a lot closer than the last time these two teams met. Good luck to everyone!

Don't forget about Oak Ridge in the east. They could surprise some teams. You can see how much they want it when they play. So, I think it will definitely be between Farragut and Oak Ridge in the east. They play each other September 11. They played once in preseason and Oak Ridge won 2 to 1, but Farragut's team was split up of half varsity players and half jv players because they had two games that day. So, it should be another very good game when their varsities play each other. Good Luck to everyone!

The Farragut vs Franklin game was not quite what i thought it was going to be. To be honest as a player in the game i have no excuse. I had one of the worst games of my life and mentally was not in the game. To be honest it was probably a good thing for us to get beat like that to wake us up and to make us think it wont be just a walk in the park. We are goin to go up against some tough teams including Farragut and we have to be ready. That will be a game that we'll most likely wont forget this year as a lesson. I can assure that we will not let the score get out of control like that again. Especially considering it was all in the first half. Franklin plays Centennial this Thursday night at CHS. Come out and support the Rebels.

Just to add a little on to that sportschic..... I don't think that anyone from Franklin was mentally in the game. And we paid for it in the first half. It WON'T happen again.

I think this year many ppl are under-estimating FHS's talent and potential due to their loss of last yr's senior defense (Sarah W., Katy R., and Lindsay B.) This is a dangerous mistake if you ask me... here is a rundown

Offense- Obviously strong. All teams out there, have fun trying to stop Leslie Lopez, Anna Perrigan, Monica Dunham, and Kacie Horner. All I have to say is this is the fastest offense I've ever seen.

Midfield- Outside mid has plenty of talent..Callie Key, Brooke Spanjian, Sarah Defada, with subst like Halie Proffit and Lexie Heilman make for a very strong unit... Centermids....players like Kaley Forrest, Jenifer Wilson, Halie Proffit, and Chloe Mayer also make for a strong unit with good technical skills and agressiveness

Defense- Sarah Perrigan (a very strong sweeper who is very mentally in the game) with help of Jordan Lefan and Gabby Mayer. Two juniors and one sophmore defense.. a lot stronger than expected when playing to full potential...smart and patient

So..obviously as one can see FHS has a lot to offer on the lineup!

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
