Any good guards in East TN

Are there any good guards in East TN that are 9th, 10th, or Jrs? Also....do any play or want to play SERIOUS AAU basketball this spring and summer?

I still don't know if Daniel Singleton is going to play with the Travelers again this summer...someone needs to talk some sense into him or better yet find him another girlfriend who doesn't have him wrapped around her little finger...

KEV...who does Daniel Singleton play for? I usually know these things but coaching this year has limited my scouting and traveling.

Daniel plays for Rutledge. The Travelers want him badly, but there is some personal issues that may keep him from playing with them. If you would like to cantact him, I can let you know how. We were in your Christmas Tourney, and Daniel made All-Tourney. Scored 35 against South and carried us. Has been battling injuries the last couple of weeks as we have struggled down the stretch. Should be ready for the tourney.

Cody Collins from Unaka is as good as you will find in this area. I know that Rusty would love that to happen. Judd Shoun from Johnson Co. is very good. Byrd is good but I am sure will concentrate on football. He is getting Divison 1 offers.

He is good. He beat Volunteer wiht a broke wrist in the regionals two years ago.

Anderson County has a very talented sophomore class with guards, and some very good freshmen guards also.

PG- Jared Laverdiere (fr) Best ball handler in state as a

frehsmen...averaged double digits in freshmen games,

and was very unselfish, could have gotten more.

35% from 3 pointers

2G- Michael Mott (so) 48% 3-pointers, averaging around

8 points a game or so...starts on a 17-8 team, 1st

in their District.

3G- Shane Fox (so) another pure shooter, 6'0 or 6'1.

3G- Josh Harrie (so) big time player, 6'2 or 6'3, still

growing fast...not much time this season, but watch out

for him next year...tall, lanky, shooter, all around

player.

3G- Jason Utley (fr) great potential, great jumper. 6'0

2G- Sam Collins (fr) pure left handed shooter. led

freshmen team in three's this season, 6 of 6 in one

quarter.

Irish, I think that you are referring to Singleton. He did play with a broken wrist as Rutledge pulled off the upset. He was a Freshman at the time. He has tremendous potential.

I would have to mention the two best guards in single A basketball (E TN) that just so happen to be on the same team. Mark McGaha and Kevin Hall are by far the best. Mark is averaging about 18 pts and 7 dimes a game and Kevin has to be the best all around guard in E TN. He is averaging close to a triple double in our last few games. It is hard to believe someone from their own team has to be the one to mention them. My opinion on Mark Byrd is that he is an outstanding football player and the fastest white kid I've ever seen.

chattanooga has a few good guards that will be playin for john gibson's 17 year old chattanooga steam, but who knows you might be able to persuade them to change teams

Thanks for your input on some great guards. I am looking for a point guard and a pure shooting 2 guard. I will look at the list and see. BTW...where is Anderson County?
