Fast Freshman milers and half-milers!

Does anyone no what some of the fastest freshman 1600m and 800m times have been this season.

8th grader doing a mile in 5:06 with no competetion....if pushed could probably break 5:00

4:51 1600m- and 2:08 open 800m- so far- but the season is young!

1:54-800, 3:58-1500

didn't he beat that mile thursday and his 800 is 2:08 now

yea his name is caleb morgan. he has great potential but i think he races too much! i know it doesn't matter but i ran 1:59 as a freshman last year. we also have a guy that has ran 2:08 but his mile isnt as fast.

Not that it was asked,but Opelika has 3 great freshman distance guys! Corey Walp-4:41 in the 1600.2:12 in the 800, and 9:41 in the 3200. Logan Ray 4:56-1600, 2:11-800, 4:49-1500, and 55.25 in the 400. Anthony Frye-2:13 in the 800, 4:57-1500,5:13-1600, and 54:8_400. The freshman class of 2003 is going to be great to watch each year as the competetition grows and the times get faster.

Page High has two good freshman milers. Joseph Pair has ran 4:55 for the boys. Caitlyn Paquet has ran 5:35 for the girls. They should both improve on these times significantly this year.

JCS, in thier first year of track and field, has a freshman girl winning the mile and half mile. She won both at the Union City Relays on April 11 and at the USJ meet on April 17. She is just learning how to run the race, and for now just follows the leader and passes her at the end. She'll do to watch in track, basketball, and soccer.

Elizabeth Krausnick of Hutchison ran a 2:19.17 last week against Germantown and Cordova. She's just beginning to figure out how to run the race and we expect her to be 2:16 or 2:17 by state.
