Who are some of the best shortstops in the state, defensively and offensively?

Zach Bowman - Knox Central (Hits for power. Tremendous arm)

Justin Young - William Blount

Ryan Gandy - Knox Catholic (Batted .587 last year. Not sure how he's doing this year).

Cale Iorg - Karns

Phillip White of the Milan Bulldogs is probably the best shortstop around....he has without a doubt, the quickest hands around.

This is an easy question to answer. Which SS in Tennessee have signed to play Division I baseball next season or which SS are going to be drafted?

I hear that Trae Helton from Greenback is talking with Vanderbilt. He is still a junior but is talented. He is hitting .600 right now

Adam Clark from Coffee County is a junior, but is being heavily recruited by several schools including Vanderbilt adn has a decent chance to get drafted. He is also a pitcher.

Last year in Columbia, I saw a kid named Johnny Mendez playing shortstop for the post 19 team. I've also saw him in several High School games. I'd put him up against anyone at that position. May not be as well known because of the small school but has a lot of talent.
