sad news from Jackson County

I just heard that Jackson County senior Alex Cassetty was killed in a car accident last night. He was a starter on the basketball and baseball teams. Lets keep his family in our prayers.

ALEX, it is truly truly sad without u here, and i miss u so much. U were the best Defensive Player in my 2 years on the team, and u were also, a great friend. I will miss u dearly, and i will meet u again sumday. We Luv U.

Alex was one of the nicest people that I ever met.

we played some summer ball together, and he was just an oustanding person, and a great friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends from Monterey.

It is always so horrible to hear of the loss of a high school student to a tragedy such as a car accident. We all get on here and argue and bicker with each other, and when something like this happens, well, it puts everything in perspective. Baseball is a fun game and I enjoy watching it, but it's not the most important thing in the world. There are tons of things more important. Cherish them all. Especially the people around you. You never know when they'll be gone.

 

I'll speak on behalf of everyone here in Franklin, we send our prayers to you in Jackson County. It's a painful thing, but be thankful you knew the young man if you did. I'm sure you've got a lot of great memories of him. God bless you all.
