2a schools

I bet all the 2a schools wants the 1.5 multiplier. They could really have some good competition. Add CPA, Ezell ,Boyd,USJ,DCA. Add this to GP and Lipscomb and a public school might win the state once every 20 years or so. Sounds fair to me. Shoot once Trousdale got wind of this,they would probably come back to 2a.

Trousdale might not come back to 2a,they are building a new school on highway 25 as you go toward Gallatin.

I've heard they are dropping football because of lack of funding. Spent too much on a new school building.

Sounds like a sad day in highschool football to me,one of the best programs in Tennessee. Muffin or supersteve,do either one of you know what size the new school would be.

I have visited TC too many times during playoffs and I cannot imagine for one second that the folks in Hartsville would accept Friday Nights without Football.

Trousdale is def not dropping football thats the number 1 thing here and i dont think the town could survive without it honestly its like religion here

I am concerned about the mental wellness of some of the people on this board. When was the last time you heard of a highschool with a decent football program dropping that sport? There is a feeling of community ownership of the football program in Trousdale County. You can see 25 fans, that don't have kids on the team, at any practice. That makes kids want to play. That's a key to having a good football team in a small rural community. Drop football in Trousdale County? Get the facts!

 

P.S. Muffin, Goodpasture will still be in 2a with the multiplier.

The new school will be the same size (attendance wise) as the old one. There is only 1 high school in Trousdale County. I hear that Trousdale may move back down to 1a when the next classification comes. They are barely 2a (enrollment) now.

It was a joke...that line about TC dropping football. There is no way we would ever get our priorities that far out of line! Drop football just to build a new school? Never!
