Actually Gentry played every down that the west was in a 4 wide set, which was virtually the entire second half. I have first hand knowledge of the selection for the game and Coach Tharp was the one who personally selected Travis for the squad. He spoke of nothing but the higest regard for both Travis and the Giles county coaches and staff. For that matter he also was the one who added Cothran and Hamilton after other picks declined to play in the game. Accusing a man of racism is a serious charge. You folks might want to know the man before you go to far. He is well respected among his peers and is a credit to the profession.

It is time to give this game, and this thread, a rest. Hopefully all of the players have some good memories from all the activities while they were in Murfreesboro and understand the real reason that the Shriners hold this game each year. I, for one, enjoyed watching.
