Michael Smithson of Centennial stands 6-3 and 315 with pretty decent feet and great hands. Has camped at UT and Mississippi State this summer so far and recieves regular correspondence from them as well as MTSU, Ole Miss, NC State, Nebraska, Louisville, Western Kentucky, and others that I'm sure I just can't recall now.

 

Also the senior to be will have his way with guys that are physically ahead of him this fall, as he is only 16. :D

The Ward kid from Sevier Co. is about 6'2" weighs over 315 and holds the world record for bench press in the 15-18 age class also benched more than the winner of the 19-21 yr. old division. Not exact but I wanna say 532 lbs. There was a big article in the local paper, he was also mentioned on Paul Harvey's radio show as to be one of the most recruited players in the nation, the only problem is he is a little soft, he thinks he is going to hurt people and he doesn't want to do that. He has won the Arnold Classic bench press division 2 yrs. running. I was wondering is it illegal in high school to let someone that big run the ball in a goal line situation.

The crowd goes wild after josh (the beast) ward crosses the goaline for sevier counties winning touchdown.........he just flat out killed the defense with his power.

If he can run that far. :rolleyes: Just kidding, but honestly, he's REALLY slow.

josh ward may be a huge linemen, but belive me i played with him for a yaer and a half. he will absolutly kill you. he just needs to get over thinking he's going to hurt someone. so belive me when i say this 315 plus pounder can move. B)

lavergne has a massive offensive line i think 3 of the linemen are over 315 .there gaurds are only about 225 a peice but there tackles and center are huge.that guy from severville i heard he bench presses 500 lbs

josh ward does bench over 500 pounds. somewhere in the range of 325 to 340. he will for sure be one of the most highly sought after players for college scouts. not to mention he holds the world record in bench for 15-18 age group.

You obviously have never paid attention to the kid, he is very athletic for his size and once he gets it going he is fast, not blazing but he can move to be as big as he is. Trust me I've watched him play and I have practiced with him

40 time??

 

 

There's a difference between being quick and fast. HE may have quick feet and arms, but he can still be slow.

      Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.

      It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.

      That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.

      Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.

      Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
