Maryville at Alcoa

Steve Bledsoe...I'm surprised the Major League teams aren't lined up for that great baseball coach!!!

Maryville fans look at the rest of the county as a bunch of hicks, Alcoa as a bunch of thugs and their beloved Maryville community and team as the beacon of shining light in Blount County amidst the factories and Super Walmart. Maryville fans have always been that way, always will. I always thought it was kind of comical. Their reality check will bounce sooner or later.

I'll have to put the Red Rebels in the plus column in this one. The Tornado's will see the end zone a couple of times, MHS 35 - AHS 14.

It may not be pretty. Hopefully "Black Swarm IV" has worked out some more of the kinks.

One game at a time men. Go Big Red!

Reguards to the Board.

And Maryville fans would probably look at you as someone with a lot of baggage who has allowed their disdain with a high school football team to become a hate obsession and transform them into a fanatical jerk.

Of course that's just me i could be wrong.

The reason fans of other teams hating Maryville is simple. Maryville has whipped their favorite teams tail too many times over the years. It has nothing to do whether they think that MHS fans think WB and Heritage fans are redneck or Alcoa is gangsta wannabees.

People hate Maryville for the same reason us UT Vol fans hate Alabama football(Under Bear Bryant), Florida football(Under Steve Spurrier) and Kentucky basketball. All those teams whipped UT too many times.

I don't have "jealousy" for Maryville. Maryville has become a good program again after years of mediocrity. Maryville was nothing when I was in school. I have no reason to be bitter towards them.

Maryville fans are elitists. Country folk who look down on others in the county. It really is comical. I've witnessed your fans not letting opposing fans, around 90 years old...with a cane...who needed help just to WALK...not allow him to sit by them, using the excuse that "this side is just for Maryville fans. The opponent seats are over there." This man, who was literally near death, had the audacity to wear the colors of the opposing team, and he wanted to plant hisself down front in front of the rest of the Maryville "Elitists". They just wouldn't stand for that. Later in the game your fans cheered when Gerald Riggs halfway limped off the field after a play, then, out of your massive inferiority complex, talked about how "Carl is just as good" the entire game. It was pretty funny.

I've witnessed your fans taunt opposing team's buses, cheer when players from other teams are injured and look down on the rest of blount county for years. A guy like TJ Brock goes from hero to "trash" after a little drinking problem...your fans turned on him pretty quickly.

Alas, if someone gets on Maryville fans, and deservedly so, for being "elitists" and "arrogant" you all say, "Oh, you just hate us because we win". Maryville was nothing when I was growing up and I didn't like them then. There will be a time int he future when they will be nothing again...and I still won't like them. Your community looks down on the rest of the county, and you considered the rest of the county to be inferior to you, not only on the football field but as individuals. The extent to which you all live vicariously through football is unreal. It's sickening to be honest with you.

no , we don't look down on other people in the county , we look down upon people like you who has an obvious chip on your shoulder . maybe the reason you feel like maryville fans look down upon you revolves more around your own insecurities . you have no clue what your talking about as far as T.J BROCK goes !! maryville fans will always love TJ !! YOU DEFINITELY SHOW YOUR IGNORANCE BY SAYING THAT !! TJ BROCK will always be a member of the MARYVILLE football family , maybe your'e just jealous that your not . i'm sure if we went and sit on your team's side one time we'd hear nothing but sportsmanship and perfection from every last fan !! get a grip , get a clue , get over your jr. high insecurities once and for all !!

Hey boyz!

My money is on "Bad Sprad" unless somebody lays a nickle bag on the sidelines and then it will be close.

Bledsoe could beat him if his hair didn't hold him back!

Did I mention I went out with both of them one time? We went to the Super Wal-mart (then called Kresge's), then mash taters (then called Midland Restaurant) and finally the Party-Pub (a.k.a. Brewer's watering hole).

What a blast, those two really could show a girl a good time.

Clemson dad... don't let my identity keep you out of the race. I am so disenchanted with that bunch I don't know what to do. You will get an anonymous donation from Sweet Susie, I promise!

Vita, what exactly does your name mean? I agree with most of your points. My children did have to take Condescending 101, Arrogance 201, Elitism 301, and they struggled with the culminating "My Football Team is Better, Therefore so am I 401" to graduate!

In that class they had to really make fun of people, write better than them, apply to higher profiled colleges, use only higher class narcotics, i.e. ecstasy and cocaine, and lie about their "little drinking problem."

My daughter came up with a good slogan for her project..."No crack allowed!" They are serious about their drinking and drugs and money making at the red and black!

However, the red rebels will prevail in a big way on Friday night!

Love you boyz!

;)

    • I really don’t get your point. Yes, Bearden lost two superstars, that can’t be glanced over, but if you still look at their roster, they have star talent almost everywhere. I’m sure Jones was expecting to lose players. I mean, it’s been rumored since the days they both stepped into Bearden, but I mean, they still have star talent everywhere, receiver, linebacker, safety, defensive back, running back, not to mention they have two probably top 20 quarterbacks in 6A battling it out every day for the starting position. And knowing Jones, I’m sure there will be another star talent that lands in Bearden this off-season, which, based on hearing rumors, may already be there. I’m not too sure. But Chaz and Brody will definitely hurt, but I really doubt it will affect Bearden as much as you think. Maybe during the postseason going up against teams like Oakland, but I doubt during the regular season.
    • The ironic thing is that in 13 or 14 they did the same thing to the baseball team and hired a moron to coach them and the kids refuse to play. nobody came out they changed the coach to a competent baseball coach and within 3 years went to win a  state championship.so things do hold water when it comes to these things.
    • Dingleberry needs to educate herself on Clemer’s “resume” and why he has been dismissed at a few previous positions along with his love of milf and cookies before making her final decision on the matter I do believe. He would not coach my son just from the stuff outside of the X’s and O’s. Throw the football inadequacies in the mix and it just adds to the list of reasons also. Just a really bad deal given the list of coaches that applied from across the state and beyond there is no explanation whatsoever other than agendas why he was hired.
    • Not looking good Captain, not looking good.We had 0 Srs before all this and had a decent amount of Sophmores and 4 or 5 Jrs.Now I heard we have about 14 kids I have not confirmed that and honestly I don't think I will go any further with it.What the community wants and what the faithful supporters along with players and parents it doesn't matter. The Loudon School board made the decision for us and it has killed our program.Folks can say butt hurt whiners whatever they want to but we are a very proud Community and expect the BEST choices to be made from our Administration and that's just not the case.I was at a Basketball game this winter for my grandkids and ran into a former teammate of mine that I actually coached youth league with for a number of years and he told me they were over 100 applications turned in and they hired the best friend of the School board Member who suggested him.He has even reached out to try to help the guy and he refused so here we are going into the fourth season of bad football.GB since 1985 has not had 3 consecutive bad seasons, now we are facing 4 with no help in sight. How are we supposed to get behind such incompetence?Dingle berry says we sound like Democrats lol.Democrats accept all the crazy and weirdness in this world and just roll with it.Im no Democrat.I'm also tired of fighting for something that our say so holds to water.
