Does anyone know anything about McMinn County's team this year? I know i've heard that Juan Smith and their qb from last year both quit to focus on other sports in the offseason but I was wantin to know how they are gonna look against ooltewah next fri

The McMinn County Cherokees gave up a 16-0 lead to Cumberland County last night. Cumberland County did lose to McMinn County on the regular season last year. Cumberland County of course was a playoff team last season and is a preseason favorite to make it to the playoffs again.

 

McMinn County just lost their composure on defense last night. Otherwise, they would've blown the Jets away. There is no reason to think they are any worse than last year's team. McMinn County should still finish way up there in Region 2-5A.

yes both of those young men have left the team. However, the cherokees will give Coach Hutchins his first win with the cherokees next friday

Derrick Vestal did not quit; he is the starter. Jonathon King, who started the last few games of last season, quit to focus on baseball.

yes, i was referring to the king kid, but i haven't heard much about how the team is this year so does anyone have any input?

From what I hear they arn't that bad, but that's all I've heard. So who really knows.

somebody give some answers that actually help.. it seems nobody knows what to think about the cherokees with the exception of good ole Earls there... i say ooltewah is the better team, Bobby you should know as well as anyone not to count your Win b4 the game is even played

If McMinn has a breakdown in discipline like they did against Cumberland, then the Owls will kill them. If they actually show up and don't quit like they did against Cumberland then it might be a good game. Best of luck to both teams, but I think Ooltewah wins this one.
