Franklin vs. Centennial

This game was much closer than the score indicates. The Centennial girls spent much of the night on the offensive at the FHS end of the field. They had a number of shots on goal, but were only able to score in the first half on a break away goal. It was a hard fought game and the girls from both teams should be congratulated!

True, centennial did have a number of shots, but so did Franklin. To be honest, Franklin did control most of the game, with the acception of one goal. All four of Franklin's goals came from Leslie Lopez, Monica Dunham, Kacie Horner, and Anna Perrigan. It was a good game to watch and to play. Although I must say that Franklin was missing two of their key players.... Callie Key (broken wrist) and Sarah Defatta. Both outside mid-fielders. So Franklin did not have near as much depth as they normally do. Even in spite of that, FHS stepped up to the challenge, knowing that CHS's coach was coaching her last game at chs, and knowing that they would come out HARD to try and win for their coach. Centennial was pumped, yet so was Franklin.
