mtnman
Didn't they play today? Anyone have results/commentary about the game? Sounds like Ooltewah fans made the trip.
josh043
Ooltewah won 2 or 3 to 0!! Go owls! Edited September 29, 2003 by josh043
stayNskool
Yeah Ooltewah put it on Mcminn to finish the tournament the right way... way to get a shut out girls!
k_hughes
yeah, it was a good game to watch, w/ no one scoring in the first half and the two golas scored in the last 10 min of the second. mcminn's defense kinda slacked and ooltewah fought hard till the end giving them the 2-0 win. OwlsGK30
The Lady Owls went with a new system, formation, and strategy in the McMinn CO. game. They switched to a defend and counter attack like system. It was only a matter of time until Watson or Creech would make something happen, and the patience finally payed off when Creech scored two in the final 15 minutes to give the Lady Owls the 2-0 victory. P.S. The goalkeeper (Kate Hundley) played great.

chip
If you would look at losing a senior forward and the factor that to many starters were on the bench for McMinn at the time Ooltewah scored first. McMinn had lost most of their games in the last 15 minutes of all these loses with starters on the bench every time. The game was good but Ooltewah looked out of sink most of the game but made big plays when they needed to. Hope to see these two teams meet in post season play again. OldSkoolBalla
Why were your starters on the bench? Were the nonstarters better players or something? Usually a coach wants to play the best players with 10 min. left in a game. Dunno, but i thought this guy, Bobby Earls?, was supposed to be "good." frizzchic
umm...most of the starters are on the bench due to injuries....not only does mcminn have several injuries that occured to pre-season starters...holly hicks was recently taken out of a game with a torn mcl and they are checking on her acl...she has been a starter for the past two years as right forward...so not to make excuses for mcminn but don't be to proud...
