Cornersville is really struggling. They did not have many athletes to begin the season, and since then they have had several quit or get injured. I believe Wayne County has a classy team and coach and will have mercy on the Bulldogs. Wayne Countys starters should be done by early 2nd quarter, the 2nd string should be through by early in the 3rd, and I hope the Freshman are ready to play most of the 2nd half. I am not dogging on Cornersville, they are just really down and I hope the other region teams don't pound on them to bad.

wayne county will go into this game a heavy favorite and rightfully so. i think that the cats should win pretty easily in this game. if they hold onto the ball, it SHOULD be out of hand by half.

prediction:

wayne co: 35

cornersville: 7

I agree the wildcats have to put it away early. Hang on to the ball!!

the longer a team like cornersville keeps it close the better they get.

i hear number 2 is a player. good luck cats.

number 2 is the best player for cornersville.

He ran a punt back 96 yards against us early in the season. then he caught a

two yard out and took it around 50 ticks to the house. all of a sudden they are up 12-0. then they were done! we scored around 30 unanswered points.

get on them quick.

good luck to both teams.

I heard that #2(their only real threat) and #51(the big lineman) both quit. As for the earlier comment about the coach. All of my experiences with Coach VanHoosier have been positive. He had great success when he was at Lincoln County, and knows what he is doing. Over the last 35 years there have been many coaches who have left or been run out of Cornersville who have gone on to have successful careers elsewhere. There just seems to be a lack of commitment from the players/potential players, and not much support from the community or parents.

you tell me!

don't worry about it when it comes to Cornersville... they're not worth the worries! Unless you stink THAT badly!

We will see how great thou art Friday at the Colliseum in Collinwood. Better bring some defense.

wayne county could score 50 points this week too if they wanted to but coach crews has respect for his opponents. we have been down before and he knows what it feels like. it is never fun to be beaten badly. there is no reason to run the score up on a struggling team. i will say this, possible score wc: 60 cornersville: 0

final score wc: 35 cornersville: 7

And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few month back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.

    • Shoulders from Macon co.  A creasy protege. Has the best coached team in the area as of late. Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co.
