Funny you should mention Coach Gaylor. There are very persistant rumors coming from clinton that say he has applied for the job. I've heard that from more than one source, but then again it's just a rumor. Or is it?

 

There was supposed to be a list of all the applicants printed in the "Clinton Courier" sometime, has anyone seen that?

Coach Gaylor applied for the job at Clinton....I think there was around 25 applications turned in to the AD at Clinton....But Gaylor did apply......hopefully they can find a way to get him

This just in from the rumor mill...

Coach Gaylor did apply, but has pulled his name from the list. From what I can gather, there were about 25 applicants and 10 will be given interviews. Shultz, Ingle, McKamey, Shattuck, and Huckaby are the only five that I know are getting interviews. Anyone else out there in coacht land know of the other five?

Sort of. McKamey was the freshman coach for a few years and the offensive coordinator for one, but I don't think McKamey and Catlett ever saw eye to eye on football issues.

 

One correction from my previous post. I don't think Huckaby is a candidate. I'm not sure that he is secondary certified.

McKamey is obviously the most qualified for the job. Plus, he probably has a little more experience in working the political end of things in the metropolis of Clinton than the others mentioned.

Can you be more specific about Coach Mckamey's qualifications. Why is he the most qualified?

What about Tony Shultz? I heard he was given an award for assistant coach of the year in some big county around Atlanta. He's a clinton alum too.

Shultz and mckamey are not qualified for the job. They are not head coach material. Gaylor, Shattuck, or Ingle would be the best for the job.
