Oak Ridge Freshmen V. Ooltewah Frosh

This Saturday in Athens, the Oak Ridge Freshmen Wildcats will be playing the Ooltewah Freshmen Owls for the TVAC (?) Freshmen Championship. Looking forward to a great game. Don't know much about the Owls, but they looked pretty good in the Rhea County scrimmage. We have improved a lot over the season with good coaching and tons of effort from our guys. Looking for comments from others...

OR freshmen went undefeated last year. It would be nice to have 2 undefeated seasons. The Freshman Coaching Staff Is Awesome. Last years Frosh havent lost a game since their 7th grade year including this year JV. Thats Three years undefeated.

TVAC Freshmen Championship? What is the TVAC? I have never heard of this and when were the play-offs?

yeah, weren't these two teams playing in the freshmen championship last year...i believe it was the only game ooltewah lost all year but i'm not sure on that, was it a close game or not?

CoachT. TVAC means Tennessee Valley Athletic Conference. This is really the region 2-5a. Ooltewah freshman has had a great season this year. Hopefully, they will play their heart out and bring Ooltewah the 1st freshman championship.

First DB freshman team to go undefeated.... they are a good team, but it will be interesting to see if they can keep enough of them together thru the years.

Thanks and congrads to the freshmen of DB. Tradition starts early in succesful football programs. No doubt DB is a succesful program.

 

Freshman success does not equate to Varsity success. It is amazing how much things change from pee-wee to middle school to freshman to varsity. Most of the time the names change as well as talents. The biggest fastest in pee wee could turn out to be the smallest slowest if they are even playing come high school.

That was part of the point I was making about Oak Ridges's kids that are now sophmores, 90% of the guys that played together in pee wee are still together with brother like relationships now that they are sophmores. The funny thing is they only won one game their last year in Pee Wee. They then went on to loose only one game ( to Maryville) in the 7th grade and have been undefeated since. Two of those young men are starting Varsity now. The rest made up the JV team this year that went undefeated. The Varsity only lost one game in regular season this year. Like I said 90% are still the same kids and have brotherly relationships that know what it takes to be winners. Look Out 2006 will be the year If not this year or next.
