Does anyone know anything about the Arbys classic this year yet?

No Unaka is not in it, not invited last year - reason they were not taking any 1A teams - guess they didn't think they were competitive enough

Unaka 2-1 record lost a close one to Germany,beat Gate city,beat Grand Bahamas,very competive must be another reason.?

CUCRY just how well did the host team do ? Will Elizabethton be back in ? I think they are 2A now and I don't think they will be very good . So explain how a 2 and 1 showing from Unaka was not good enough for a return to the ARBY'S ? PLEASE!!!

I really don't know who will be in the Arby's this year, the reason stated was one given a few years ago.

Logical thinking,Unaka 1a play their games in the middle of the day,that will keep them in their place,games still draw lots of intrest,pair them with two national teams,that will keep them in their place,draws even more intrest,don't invite them back,that will keep them in their place,still draws intrest.Intrest=$$$$$$$$ tournament committee you missed this one.

I dont really understand how the Arby's Classic works I mean yes you do get the best competiton around you can find because this is one of the top tournaments nationally.

 

But let this stick in your mind if this tournament is supposed to be one of the top tournaments around why would you want teams like sullivan east, daniel boone,

gate city and of course tennesee high has to play I mean its there own tournament but teams thats not even worth a flip exspecially to compete with these teams you guys bring in from overseas and out of state.

 

Bottom line is coach burns knew unaka put on a better show then tennesee high did when they was in the arbys classic and if u can sit there and tell me sullivan east and elizabethton highschool is better then unaka this year then you should

be directing youth club tournaments then this Arby's Classic tournament.

 

Basically it boils down to going with tradition then going with the good teams that should be in it. Look at what Elizabethton, Sullivan East have comming up this year and then look at what Unaka has and tell me why they couldnt play in your tournament MR DALE BURNS.

I honestly don't know why we(Unaka) were not invited. They obviosly don't really care if they have good teams or not, then they wouldn't have the likes of Sullivan East. If you want to see better games, just come to Round Ball in the Hall, and see us play Bristol and Science Hill.
