5A Mr. Football Lineman Nominees are:

 

Lamar Divens, Lincoln County

Jake Kasser, Germantown

Ian Van Horne, Brentwood

 

I won't be surprised by a Lincoln County sweep.

I was hoping Jake Nunley from Coffee County would have gotten in. #1 in the state in rusing with over 2,100 yards.

I will be surprised if it is not a Lincoln Co. sweep. I sure hope Divens recondiders after saying he will go to Vandy. Sorry but that could be 4 very long years for him.

Jamison Link from Gallatin is one of the premier backs in 5A football. He did it all, even when every defense was set to stop him. Much better football player than Coker. Would have been a nice consolation prize for the wave after the soap opera story of the past month.

I was very dissapointed to not see Corey Booker from Oak Ridge on there. Of course, picking these things is the hardest part because so many have good numbers and stats to prove they are just as worthy.

 

Wish there was some way so many weren't allowed to vote, however. You get so many dang ballots out there in the hands of people who are just fans and not able to sit back and pick with their minds.

van horne brentwood - should win it he is the best i saw all year! i also like defensive players!

crawfrod -oakland - no help at all on offense

Well naturally my pick is Jeff. Although I havent seen Edmiston play, his stats are impressive. I dont know much about Coker.

 

Hopefully JJJr and Edmiston can meet up later in the playoffs and have a "debate"
