Best Team in West Tennessee 4a school?

You are correct brothers,

Melrose is good, rather fantastic. I have seen them play. Realistically, you play a much different brand of football in Memphis than we do in West Tennessee. My point is however, Melrose should not overlook Hardin County. Especially in light of their past meeting, this would be a very tempting thing. Hardin County has a much different team today than they had two years ago.

I agree that everything is in favor of Melrose tonight. Statistically speaking, Hardin County does not have a chance. However, neither did Tennessee agianst Miami. Football can be a strange creature, especially at the Prep level. Hardin County could fold out of fear from their past meeting or they could show up like the Texans against Santa Anna with a battle cry, "Remember the Alamo".

At any rate, I do hope it is a good game, that at least Hadin County will play with them and make the game close and interesting.

I recall the last meeting between these teams. Some of the Melrose fans were sitting directly in front of me and about mid way through the second quarter started rooting for Hardin County and almost begging them to "make a game out of it."

I hope Hardin County does do better tonight, that both teams will play injury free, that all travel safely to and from the stadium and that the truly best team will win. After all, that is what the playoffs are for.

Best of luck tonight and most probably, throughout the playoffs.

there a great football team!! I expect them to do well tomorrow night against Memphis Melrose.  They have got some playmakers on that team without a doubt!!

sorry to disagree but the major playmakers I saw were the referees and Hardin Co wont have their own "playmakers" at Melrose - Hope they get as good as they gave

    • I think that pretty much sums it up, really. To be perfectly honest, I'm far less sour about Eagleville getting to host themselves in the state tournament every year than I am the fact that we find ourselves in a position that we have to play STATE TOURNAMENT games at a blamed Single A facility.
    • It's time to put away with the award. 18 players selected, and 17 of those players are from Middle and East Tennessee. I guess they don't play baseball in West Tennessee. I understand there will be players that were "snubbed." We can make a legit argument that it occurs in Mr. Football and as well as Mr./Mrs. Basketball. But baseball is not a place where we can sit here and say "these are the 3 best players in this class and that class."  And we got to get rid of these polls bullcrap that's being released. It's all nonsense.
    • Thanks. I'm just trying to understand how this process works.   It seems like a bit of a sweetheart deal to me but the cookie has to crumble somewhere I guess.
    • He won’t got anywhere he has it made in h20 he prob makes almost what a head coach in t c makes plus there’s not as much pressure there everyone is a use to the losing there. I say he will be there for many years just waiting for Webster to leave…
    • Do you happen to know how he stacked against the other nominees? Just curious what the other stats were.
