trenton
I would like to know what happened to xavier carter and alston inyard from the columbia squad
Guest Oakland
to be honest with ya, oakland has always struggled early on, not trying to make excuses that its just the norm that oakland struggles early, i think a more fair assesment should be given when district play starts to heat up in january, but struggling against columbia is a cause for concern for oakland, but having a coach like king i know oakland will improve week by week so it will be interesting how they do once the season starts.......... BCHStrack1
gomab, you said that Giles had an easy schedule except for two games against BA; so are you saying that the game at home against Bradley Central is going to be easy? Just wondering. I would say that that game is going to be a tremendous test on the guard position.
coachlj65
that's what i was wondering......not only 2 games with BA, but also 1 with Bradley and 2 with Columbia. looks like several challenging games but that may have them primed for the state. gotta play a tough schedule to be tough. i look forward to seeing them play for myself instead of "hearing" all the pros and cons. gomab2
Sorry, overlooked Bradley... As for Columbia, they are very, very down this year, and looks to be two more likely Giles wins... The district and Region for Giles is anorexic at best, and more of a cakewalk than anything else... okiedoke
Gomab, u say giles's region is going to be a cakewalk? i will promise u that sycamore will not be a pushover this year.
cheer4life
okiedoke, i couldnt agree with you more. I saw Sycamore play in a preseason scrimmage and thet looked very competitive. They also seemed well coached. I hope to see big things from that Sycamore team this year.
wneely
Sycamore is gonna be ballin this year no doubt. Dustin Watts and Logan Pierce will have this team in the State Finals!
wurd up
Tyler Smith is going to win state. Not Giles Co. ... Tyler Smith.
coachlj65
I think they give mvp's to individuals......state titles go to TEAMS. he may be a great player, but it takes a team to win. and yes, the have the talent there to win it all again, but they have to play as a team, not solo. i'm from a neighboring county, different class and district, and would like to see them repeat. just hope they play better as a team and work on their weaknesses to get back.
