Covington at Greenbrier

Who will win and why?

Don't know much about GB other than they obviously have an excellent team if they are still playing. Having seen Covington play Milan, they have lots of speed, pass coverage is very good and they want to win. Covington has a good team. Should be a very good game.

Covington...b/c they have a great defense and one of the best running backs in the state......GO CHARGERS....all the way from milan

I pick Greenbrier in this one. Greenbriers O and D lines are the toughest I've seen this year. The running back, Roger Herndon, is currently #2 on the rushing yards AND scoring record and he is hard to stop. He along with all the other possible playmakers on offense will make it happen. The defensive line swarms to the ball and they can stop the play in the redzone. On top of this, the road to the state runs through Greenbrier and the 12th man at Greenbrier is loud and proud.

The yds. are great but I don't put a whole of stock in that all the time. I like to look at yds. per carry. What are his stats on yds. per carry?

Greenbrier by 2 td's in this one. Too big, too strong, too fast, too deep, too together, and just too much of everything. They don't make many mistakes especially turnovers. You will be very surprised at Herndon's speed. They will pound it right at you. Better be able to defend the wing T. The winner of the Greenbrier / Crockett game was/is the 3a champ. But one game at a time. They got that thing called "KARMA" going for them. These bobCATS definitely have nine lives....by my count they have 3 left.

Greenbrier has an excellent offensive line that block very well. I don't know much about Covington, but from everything I've heard....I predict a win for Covington.
