Oak Ridge in 04'

I know this high school football season isnt over yet but im just interested in what folks are thinking about Oak Ridge next year. Where will the coaches be? Shattuck Gray? How will the team perform?

Losing ALOT of seniors. Still, alot of talent. You have a great back in Spencer. Oak Ridge will be strong, maybe not quite as strong as '03 on paper.

Has Oak Ridge ever had a down year ? I don't remember one.

2001 was a down year, 6-4. I look to see us reload next year. We have good linemen returning along with 2 starting linebackers, QB, both I-fullbacks. The biggest questions will be in the defensive backfield. You will definitely see Jr. and possibly Soph starters there. Of course, it is way too early to tell at this point.

Oak Ridge has won a state title in every decade that they have existed. Did they just miss their best chance for this decade or is there a better group coming along.

I don't know about better, but I don't see us falling that far down anytime in the next 4 - 5 years. We have some pretty good athletes movin up.

Oak Ridge has always found a way to remain a strong program even after huge graduation losses. The reason is in my opinion that the coaching staff remains true and loyal to a philosophy that has been in place since the beginning of the Program. Winning is contagious. The 2003 Wildcats had a great year and have no regrets. It was an honor to be a part of this season. I don't usually post after the season is over but I am after that other thread was brought to my attention. I actually don't read any thread but what is in season. I hate reading about Oak Ridge losing so I stay clear. I guess I am a sore loser. I want to make it clear. Oak Ridge is behind the Wildcats win or lose. I don't want any of my words said during the broadcast to be used as a jumping board for the posters who want to bring Oak Ridge down. I have my opinions and I say them allowed. Don't hide behind a screen name on here. Oak Ridge will be strong next season and part of the reason will be because of the coaches. If Coach Gray and Shattuck decide to leave its to further their careers and we wish them well. Lets keep it positive on this one and let that other die a quick death.
