2 OT - Sudden Victory

But how would you establish who goes down first. Its like getting the ball first in college football OT. What you do sets up what your opponent must match or beat.

 

Would you flip a coin to decide who goes down first??

Based on my belief that the last points scored are as important as the first points scored, I would prefer a coin toss. My only exception is kind of what FILA (the International governing body of Frestyle and Greco) does. If one wrestler has more stalling calls against him, his opponent should have the rite to decide if he wants to be on bottom first or second.

i like this opinion, which by the way is from a fila level 2 official.

The college system is the best but it does need to be changed just a little. If both wrestlers get an escape, reversal, whatever... the winner should be the wrestler that scores an escape in the least amount of time!!!!!!!! If you score an escape in 24 seconds and your opponent scores in 12 seconds your opponent wins the match. This would be exciting and easy to keep up with.

I think that they should keep wrestling for the 30 sec. this also makes OT more exciting. If wrestler "A" escapes in 10 sec. then gets a takedown on "B", "B" must then atleast match his effort when he goes down. Or if "A" escapes then "B" takes him down "A" must attempt to turn "B" when he is on bottom for his 30 sec.
