Getting Close to Crunch Time/ class A

It's getting awfully close to tourney time-who does everyone think will make the final eight? Here are my picks-they all have a legit shot, though you may think someone else has a better chance. These definitely aren't the best eight teams in the state, but all you've got to be is top 2 in your section of the state. I think this scenario is possible-I may have one or two that couldn't advance together. PLEASE don't get on here harping about how your team is going to win it all-just tell who you think will be in the Boro.

Chattanooga Christian is definitly a great pick. Might even want to bump them up to #1. When they want to win, nobody can beat them.... nobody.

Im just wondering how you pick Harriman over Rockwood. Rockwood swept Harriman in the season, not to mention Harriman is behind Rockwood in the district standings. Other than that, the list looks pretty good.

Supaballa, hope you're right...for selfish reasons, of course. No Gordonsville, huh? Haven't seen 'em play, but they're looking pretty tough on paper (region games?). This week will tell a lot about Goodpasture. Tonight, @ FRA; Fri. night, CPA; and Sat. night D. L.. Whoo! But, gotta play the 'Big Dogs' if you wanna measure up. I LOVE this time of year. Is that March Madness I hear coming? Thanks again for the confidence! Good luck Class A. Although us small schools 'fly under the radar' sometimes, we know we've got 'next level' talent, too.

As for Rockwood, I didn't really use head-to-head matchups as much as looking at a schedule that would prepare for the postseason and looking at the type of team they were, if it may be conducive to tourney time. Hey, none of the teams I picked may make it, but they all have a chance.

Good list, but CPA is looking very good right now and has played one of the toughest schedules in the state.

Beaten DCA, Temple, Grace, FRA on the road and Goodpasture and NCS at home.

Right now they are top 8 - will see how they do against McEwen and Goodpasture on the road and FRA, Temple and DCA at home the next 2 weeks.

CPA seems to be up and down and if they are up come tourney time they have a legit chance to make it, but you could say the same for DCA, FRA, McEwen(Daniel Puckett), NCS, Davidson. All these 9 and 10A teams seem to be so up and down you never know whats going happen.

HOW DO YOU GUYS STILL HAVE Cosby UP THERE, THEYVE LOST TO PRETTY MANY TEAMS INCLUDING Unaka AND Cloudland. IM A BIG Cloudland FAN AND I WAS THERE WHEN THEY BEAT Cosby, I THINK THEY HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH TALENT TO GO TO STATE. MOST OF THE GAMES THEY LOST WERE EITHER AT THE FIRST OF THE YEAR(BUT ITS A DIFFERENT TEAM NOW) OR THEY HAD A BIG LEAD AND BLEW IT(WHICH IS BEING WORKED OUT) BE READY TO SEE LANDERS IN THE BORO!!!

Experience and the ability to play consistently well are key to making it to state. Some of the more highly-touted teams just don't have any experience, and some haven't faced enough stiff competition to prepare them for a grueling tourney schedule.
