i am thinking about buyin the WORTH 2004 WICKED FASTPITCH -10 BAT.

Is it legal this year with all the new changes?

Is it a good bat?

What are some opinons of those who own it?

I think it feels heavier than it is. Some people get them and love them, but others get them and never even use them. So I guess it all depends on the person. I personally wouldn't want to swing one. They just feel heavy to me. But that is just my opinion.

I got my WICKED the weekend it came out last year, and i love it. i have been using it every since i got it, and i have hit very well. I think, its just like any other bat, you just have to get use to it. I like "thunk" bats like the quad, the worth 3DX, and Miken bats, I just think they have better pop than "ting" bats, eg. Lousiville Slugger, and most Easton( but they have a new bat, i think its the synergy bat, it should be one to look at.)

In my opinon the Wicked is a waste of money. In order for the ball to fly off the bat you have to make perfect contact. There is no room for error. It is almost the same as using a wood bat. If I were you I would go for a one piece bat, preferably one made by TPX.

We"e had two Wicked bats that developed cracks in them and we just acquired them in February. One was sent back to the manufacturer and the second is in the process of being sent back. Not too happy with their durability.

Bats, this time of year struggle to stay intact when the weather is cold or cool. Their performance curve rises sharply as the temperature increases above the 60 degree range. When a new line of bat is introduced, it usually has a rough first year especially if the engineering department is pushing the limits on metal fatigue vs thickness. Many new alloys are introduced annually looking for the best weight, balance and pop. Any bat that uses the trampoline effect is typically going to suffer the worst in cold weather. Fatiguing the metal by "oil canning" is much like taking a piece of wire and bending it back and forth till it breaks. Different alloys champion these effects structurally by how the grains of the metal alloys overlap. This sounds a little deep but I have a lot of respect for the bat companies that are pushing the limits for better products AS LONG AS THEY LIVE UP TO THEIR WARRANTIES!

i take good care of my equipment, and i never use my wicked unless i know its warm enough. i am in my freshman year of college and i have been using the bat since the weekend of boarder battle 2003 and i still love it. who ever made the comment about having to hit the ball perfect, its true. but have you ever tried to swing a quad? i find them to be harder to swing than the wicked. And also if you are strong enough to swing the wicked, then you should have good form and muscle memory. (The key to a perfect swing is pitch selection, and muscle memory), and when you have good muscle memory, its hard to make bad contact

i guess it is easy for me to keep my bat from cracking or denting, because i am going to school in West Palm Beach, fl. The weather here is great, and the softball is awsome. i love the fact that i can play softball all year around!!

my team just purchased a wicked bat and i personally dont like it. there is not enough barrel on it for me, and it feels a little top-heavy. u do have to hit it on just the right spot for a nice clean hit...but some of my teammates love it. I guess it just depends on the user.

Good bat if you can hit the narrow sweet spot, otherwise durability is a huge question in a league with the harder throwing pitchers. Don't look for it to hold up. sacrafice some pop for a better sweet spot.

I have a wicked bat and a 3DX but like the 3DX much better. Both of them are great bats. I mean, I wouold try swinging a wicked before you buy it to see how you feel about it.

The wicked is a solid bat for your 3,4,5 hitters. It has a big sweet spot and the ball gets off the bat very quickly.

I agree, westtn. It's almost like the ball jumps off of the bat. I love the WICKED bats. Our team has two, and they are used quite often.
