Jody Fersner out for Karns in 3-AAA Tournament

I posted this in another thread, but here it is again....

 

I just heard that Jody Fersner has "mononucleosis" and will miss the District 3-AAA tournament. He will be lucky to be healthy by the Region tournament. Too bad for the Beavers and Jody.

Things are getting really weird in this tournament. A lot of very good players have missed or will miss games for a variety of reasons. Plumlee, White, Gauley, Scott, Fersner, etc; whatever the reason, I hope all of these kids are back playing ball soon.

jody is not hurt. in the Bearden game he had a despuite with the assaitant coach and was benched for the rest of the game. now whither or not the coach desides to play him i have no clue. but i sure hope he does. but if he doesn't i back up coach hinsins desition 100%. i think jody just got a little big headed.

Good for the coach. The player in question and the team will be better for it. No player is bigger than the team. I hope the player takes the discipline as an effort to make him better not only as a player but a teammate and a person.

Powell lost to Halls last night. I wonder if the Smith kid will transfer back to Central for football season?

I hate to hear that about Fersner. He is a tremendous player on a really good team. In my opinion, this now makes what was a wide open district tournament not as wide open anymore. With the Halls upset win over Powell, Fersner being sick, and OR missing players Clinton is now the HEAVY favorite to bring home the district title!

I am not sure where you get your information, but Jody did not have a dispute with an assisstant coach. There was a misunderstanding between the two , but it did not lead to Jody being benched. During the game he was obviously not 100% as far as health and he was in foul trouble. Check your sources next time.

umyphatcow44- Fersner is sick ...what u call a dispute was a minor disagreement that affected nothing...he wasnt benched the rest of game he was in foul trouble in the 2nd quarter...and played most of the third and fourth...i talked to him the other day and he has mono and hates it for the team....but lets clear things up that Fersner did nothing to get benched...hes a good kid....and would do nothing to put his team in jeopardy...he just got sick at the wrong time

Well I guess Halls got to play Powell on a neutral court may have made a difference.But whatever,Powell is finished now.Halls has a little win streak now of 3 games with victories over Powell and South -Doyle.Clinton will be tougher but Halls may have a chance.IF Halls loses I think they have made improvements over last year.Maybe next year Halls can win 10+ games!GO HALLS!!!

It was unfortunate that Powell had to play without Plumlee. I think he would have been the difference in the game. But, injuries are a part of sports. Halls won't win another game all year.
