33viking
Congrats to the Lady Cyclones of Elizabethton for getting over the "Unicoi hump" in a thrilling game...great job ladies! The Cyclones played as a team tonite, with no single player having to carry the load, but MVP Baughman and All-Tourney Pietrowski played well at both ends. Best of luck in the next round! luv4sports
Thanks 33viking! It was a great team effort!!! Baughman did have more than half the teams points but without her teammates getting her open looks and the tenacious defense the entire team played it wouldn't have been a win. Great job ladies! coachh17
It would be nice to see that much orange and black on the court at one time. Should be a great final between you and South Greene. Thanks and good luck.

TheIceMan
The lady cyclones are on a mission. This team has a good blend of experienced and youthful players, and could make some noise in the midstate. Congrats Lady Cyclones. District One AA champions. Regional tournament ahead. Lets get ready to rumble...................
krichunaka
Congratulations EHS. And also to the Blue Devils. It's been such an honor to get to know most of you ......and on both teams. Hopefully this is building into the great rivalry is should be. Hey, and why don't you guys plan on playing each other again next week. Both teams have the ability to play several more games. And did Elizabeth Weaver get to play? Kim Richardson
luv4sports
krich Elizabeth Weaver may have ligament damage and be done. They get an evaluation on that on Monday. You really hate to see that at this time of the year. She is a great player and means a lot to that team. Thanks to all the posters for the congratulations. Definitely a big win - one that will last a lifetime. We are hungry for more though. This just wets the appetite.
Buki4life80
Before you go blowing your horns to loud about how great the cyclones are. Why don't you first tell everyone just how you beat UC?You seemed to neglect to tell that you only won by 3 and UC was without Weaver. Her in the game its a blow out again. Weaver in Baugman score no more than 10. But congra.enjoy it while you can. And be like Happy Valley and start getting ready for softball. Buki: First of all, none of the girls from Elizabethton play softball except for two, Kauffeld and also Smith from the JV team. By the way, viking DID tell how much the Cyclones won by. Take time to read the subtitles. Edited February 28, 2004 by tru_win3114
cyclonebasketball
Great job Lady Cyclones! Good luck in the Regional Tournament Edited February 28, 2004 by cyclonebasketball
Buki4life80
I did read the post. Until they have won something that matters they haven't proved anything.Game meant nothing. Real meanings begins Monday. Weaver will be back if needed if not will play next game. Why worry with hurting it more in a game that means nothing. This time of year whats the use of gambling in whether you play 3 or 4th seed. Can't beat UC by no more than 3 with her out get beat by 20 if she plays. Hope UC see the cyclones in reg. finals but it looks like it will be UC against either SG or PF. Happy Valley VS Unicoi County in their bracket final. Just glad to see betsy not have to go down to single A ball to finally win a little something.
