I don't remember this girl from last year. Is she as good as the people from LA are saying, or did she just have a really good game. Did she play this well all year, why have I not heard of her?

Butler is a sophmore, she will be back. #20 is the lone Sr. on this team. They will be back. Great game girls. You represented 5AA well.

bob77, she's that good. Great shooter with a spin move that is realy tough to guard. She did a real good job Saturday night. Walker Valley was tough from top to bottom.

Hey folks, it's nice to know that others are noticing Alyson too (and not just those from her own district). She is the real deal. There have been several colleges watching her (division I), but can't talk to her until AFTER her junior year. I'm sure you all know about all of that.

 

She is very special, but is also surrounded by a ton of talent that will all be back next year. I understand that they Livingston folks were very impressed with the whole team.

 

Next year should be a VERY good year for the Lady Mustangs. Good luck!

Yes Butler is the real deal. When she gets in a groove she can score but she is also the General on the floor and can pass the ball into the post real well, however this year she was called on to carry alot of the outside shooting as well as her spinning into the lane to create offense for the team. Next year they should be a better outside shooting team and can rebound with Mindy Cox and Suzanne Morris, Parks can flat out get after you on defense, and Burrell will step up and score some points. Butler is the best point guard in the county right now, and that's saying alot.

Has anyone heard or know if the rumors are true that Butler could be playing for a different team next year? I'm sure wherever she plays next year she'll continue to do a great job.

Why must people get on here and try to stir up trouble when the board (to that point has been nothing but positive). There is not any truth to that, and there is not even such a rumor except the one that you are trying to start here.

spacebar, First off, I have not posted ONE negative thing and since when is asking a question "stirring up trouble"? If Ms. Butler chooses to play at a different school I have to problem with that. I respect the fact that parents and athletes make decisions on whats best for them. If she stays at WV then I have no problem with that either. I did hear some talk about her transferring, but if its not true then why are you getting so excited? Not ONE negative thing has been posted regarding this. I just asked a simple question. Good luck Alyson wherever you play next year.

Yes, she is leaving the Valley, the story will be on tonite on the local news stations. I have been told that Dan Rather and 60 minutes are also going to do a show, Any way it appears that she will be leaving B-ball behind and taking a job right here on Coacht. as a secret Moderator for one year then, she is going to do profile work with the FBI and the CIA. However all this could change if she gets a call back from the psychic hotline or American Idol.
