it is all about the match ups....and even with that sometimes you just cannot predict what or how high school kids will perform....

but lets take a look at some common opponets for the two...

first common opponet for glencliff is maplewood who lost to glencliff by about a average of 6 points.....

maplewood gets beat by briarcrest by 2.......

dyersburg beats briarcrest by 13....

and jackson northside beats dyersburg 4 times by a average of about 9.....

so i would predict that dyersburg is probably about as good as if not slighly better than glencliff....dyersburg is a very atheletic and well coached team and they could not match up with northside......you have two delks and ramon williams...which is two of the best guards in the state, along with one of the best point guards in williams.....they will be tough..... northside can match up with white station.....

there is you comparison of common opponents....if you can call it that.....

how northside or glencliff will perform is another story.....when ur at the boro under the lights you can get the jitters....

no doubt in my mind that jackson northside, memphis fairley and white station are the 3 best teams in the state of tennessee.....

and i am sure that gomab may agree that region 7 and region 8 are the toughest regions to play ball in...night after night....

That was an very informative but meaningless post by mg. Anyone who has played ball or even a fan of ball would know that you cant compare a game by who beat who. It was amusing but I hope that you really don't believe in that. I am not going to say the Glencliff is going to win, but Jamont is the kind of player that can score 10pts and lead his team to a victory. You guys are going to learn/see.

How could you possibly assume that region 7 & 8 are better than the rest unless you've seen the rest. Jackson NS, & Fairley top 3, big time bluff.

If you think that Jamont will be nervous in M'boro, you don't know him. The bigger the event/venue............The better he plays. He feeds off of the crowd. He even feeds off of boos(they motivate him).

JNS is good. But The Delks will have their hands full with Gordon. This isn't the first time he's faced talented twins. ;)

The key will be Ramon Williams vs. Jeffrey Hill. Jeffrey is underestimated. He is small in stature but runs the show for Glencliff. He plays tough defense and doesn't get rattled.

The Delk twins will not be nervous either. I have never seen the Delk twins nervous before a game. North Side will be ready for Glencliff, No doubt. But we will jus have to wait and see who wins. I have no doubt this will be a great game with some great matchups. And Fairley and North Side being ranked in the top 4 is no bluff. Both teams are great teams. I would like to see any team from TN beat White Station like Fairley did, and would like to see any team beat a tremendous ball club in Dyersburg 4 times like North Side did. Region 7 and Region 8are two top Regions. All have to say is that Glencliff better bring thier "A" game.

NSIndian, I look forward to the game. I hope to even "bump' into you at murphy center.

It will definitely be entertaining.

Here is another question?

Will the refs let them play?? Jamont is very aggressive(he doesn't know how to play any other way). He will certainly try to take it to the delks? He always has something to prove. I hope he doesn't get carried away.(charges, silly fouls, etc..)

I think the x-factor is Ramon williams, I here nothing but good things about him. Even with Glencliff's chris johnson, its 3(JNS) against 2 Glencliff goto players. The role players will have to step up for both teams.

It isnt gonna be 3 JNS goto players but 5 JNS go to players. Dale Coleman is a 6'6'' center who can shot from anywhere. And Jarrel Shanklin is only about 6'2'' with a 6'6'' heart who never gives less than 200% in a game. He can rebound over the best and he can also score. I think the biggest factor in the game may come down to free throw shooting. North Side struggled early in the season but has really stepped it up in the tournaments. So it there are a lot of fouls, North Side with have to hit their free throws to keep their confidence and not tear themselves down.

    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
