Coach Darrell Barnwell is from East TN, Johnson City, I believe.

Did the guy from Smyrna Middle apply? Coached girls at Houston High, came through the Insell system a few years ago. If they want to continue to succeed this is the type person they need. Heard he applied but maybe going back to Shelbyville.

I know they called Coach Ricky Bledsoe from Fairview, and asked him to interview, but he said nuh uh i dont think it would be a good idea to jump over and coach your current teams rival.

From What i have heard Page's new coach will be Kathy Dye. She is a awesome coach. She was a great player as well. She coached at Lawrence County and the Riverdale. She will be a fine addition to the Page Patriots Program. Good Luck coach and work'em hard!!!

I know that one of the coaches just mentioned would be great for that job. He has the background to get the job done and I believe that he is the one that could turn that program around in a positive direction. And yes he did apply for that job.

Are you talking about Tommy McCrary? His background is an assistant with Shelbyville Central then head girls basketball coach at Houston High School. He went 84-31 in four years adn went 28-4 and the semis of 8AAA regionals, his last season in 2002-03. Was let go under some investigation, can't quite remember what it was though. I didn't know he was in Smyrna, a great coach that knows how to win.
