Who says Tennessee is inconsequential in basketball?

 

Yesterday alone, Earnest Shelton (White Station) had 29 for Alabama, Julian Terrell(Ezell-Harding) and Mario Moore (Antioch) combined for 33 as Vandy knocked off top seed Miss State. Julian actually played like he's capable of and was a force down low, while Mario was flat out clutch in the second half.

 

And to top it all off (much as I hate to say it) ole Lee Humprey (Maryville) hit the game winner as time expired against Alabama to send Florida into today's semi-finals against VU.

 

Good to see these former high school stars living up to the hype in college.

I thought Mario Moore also played at Ezell Harding.

Dane Bradshaw, Scooter McFadgon, and Boomer Herndon played for UT against Alabama, but they were pretty inconsequential.

 

I'm glad some Tennessee natives played well, I just wish it had been the ones who chose to go to Knoxville!

Well, I don't know the stats from that game, but any time Scooter McTraitor had a bad night this year it was bound to be a rough outing for UT.

Dont forget about Wesley Morgan, the 7ft from Gallatin H.S, plays for Mississippi State. Wes played on Gallatin's Class AAA 2001 State Championship team.

Well, I don't know the stats from that game, but any time Scooter McTraitor had a bad night this year it was bound to be a rough outing for UT.

Does this mean that you are a University of Memphis fan? I knew there was something about you that I liked.

Yeah, Bighurt. I am. I've grown up a UK fan but I'm a senior at UM so, naturally, I've become a huge Tiger fan as well. Hey, let's give UT a little love......they will be in the Not Important Tournament after all :justwrestle:
