I hope that "the ultimate facility" gets finished before the season. i was in stewart co. a couple of months ago and did not see any of these "state of the art facilities" under construction. why did they tear the old stadium down before the new one is finished???????? Where is this new field house going to be in relation to the football field??????

I never read where anyone said "ultimate facility". It will be a high school football field.

However, they have started laying blocks and installing plumbing for the field house. I saw that when I drove by one day. It's by the northwest corner of the football field.

The new coach's name is Mike Coley. He is a true competitor who will work hard to improve football in Stewart County if the kids will come out and give it a chance.

He has worked under several good head coaches as an assistant at Gatlinburg-Pittman, Austin East, and Beech. Good luck to Stewart County!

      I see them and Oakdale struggling quite a bit the next few years. I see OS to be the powerhouse of the area for awhile. It all depends on how much Coalfield can recruit.

      I’ve said it all year coalfield isn’t the same team as the last couple years. They have 3 really good players and another pitcher that throws low to mid 80s. Other than that, everybody else is average at best. You could make the argument that their lineup was the worst out of the 4 teams in their region tournament. Oakdale is really hot right now and playing well. Greenback was the second best team there. Wartburg was hitting it well but limped into the tournament with their center fielder being hurt and their best pitcher not being able to go on the mound for them was killer.

      Upperman White County both will be loaded. Dyersbirg and South Side will be a handful as well. Getting about that time in about 3 weeks we start watching summer scrimmages. Dyersburg loaded loaded loaded with talent. Most talent ever I have seen in their program.
