Soddy-Daisy players quit

It came as a shock to me but I was told this morning that four of Soddy-Daisy's players have quit the team, all freshmen. I won't name any names, but it was the catcher, both pitchers and a pretty good outfielder. I wasn't told why but I was told they all plan to transfer, either to GPS or to Falling Water and up to Signal Mountain to establish the program there. Oh BTW, what's today's date?

My dad told me that to myself and Becky McCraw at dinner tonight after a game and Becky burst out going, "YES!!! FARRAGUT IS GOING TO WIN STATE ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!! NO MORE SODDY DAISY!!!!" My dad was like, "Yes, indeed. The clean-up hitter and the two freshman pitchers." Becky and I were smacking high fives left and right and then my dad goes "April Fools."

 

It was a sad moment for Becky and I.
