Rumor is Broome is certified and in contention for the job. He has been around the players for a few years now and would seem to be a good fit.

You have to be kidding, no head coaching experience, very few years at high school level, and McGavock needs someone that has been a head coach. The size of the school should draw many candidates.

Last year was a disaster. They need a coach that will get more players out and keep them all season. They need some assistant coaches that care about the players. and are not out there to draw extra money.

Metro schools offered a big money incentive to anyone with 35+ years teaching experience to retire. For someone in his position it was nice money.

Shadow, you are correct, please forgive me. I forgot that there are never any rumors in Metro. "The philosophy" almost escaped me . Bottom line is whoever Mike Tribue wants will get the job.

Tribue will name himself head coach! He was on staff (with Wes Elrod) the last time they had a good football team, remember?

McGavock could be good if all the athletes played football. Centa Broome could unite the players better than anyone else and make them competitive. He could form a nice staff with the coaches that are already there, Norris, Spears, Coffee, Tripp, Malone, Dudney, Van Hoose, and two new guys from Lipscomb.
