Arcentae will do an excellent job if given the chance to bring in some help. He is a hard worker that is well respected by the kids. McGavock will obviously do better than they did last year.

Man, you have to be joking, Hard Worker, duh, why was he absent at least 1 day aweek from practice during the season, and never showed up for spring practice in May.

I believe that Broome was coaching the boys track team this spring which would keep him out of Spring Ball. It is my opinion that he will do a fine job if he indeed has it.

Quit hating TUT, the man can't be in two places at once! He was coaching track and it wouldn't of been right to leave and run to football, act like he was already the new coach, like Spears did. Tut, you either are Spears or you're one of his boys. Ok fine. But don't be dogging out Broome. He is a good young coach and is just trying to advance his career. If the principal has faith in him, that's all that matters. Not your opinion. New day dawning at big Mac. Give Broome a chance. Who thought Johnson at Stratford would have been as successful as he was last season? Broome could of had that job. He waited cause he is loyal to McGavock now.

Everyone has done all this talk about who is going to be the new Head Coach, but what about where the old Head Coach, Doris Armstrong, is going. I here where he is going he should have been there as Head Coach years ago.

Tut, I see you have somewhat of a problem with Broome being a head coach, preferably at McGavock. Have you applied for the job or have all of the bridges you have crossed crumbled behind you!

OK if not Tribue, then Alzado and YoDude, I got some candidates for you besides Broome and Spears, how 'bout:

 

Ron Aydelott - perfect time to leave and rebuild again, like he did at Hillsboro

Buddy Brown - left Antioch on top, would bring stability and discipline

Jerry Link - if he could escape from Hillwood

Wes Elrod - like Shadow said, think Gamble and Nollner. He would actually win!

James Armstrong - fix what little brother messed up

Maurice Fitzgerald - could Tribue get him to leave the Firebirds?

Richard Coure - ex-McGavock assistant, was successful at Whites Creek

How about Arnett Bodenhamer. I heard he applied yesterday. McGavock grad, and better football than basketball coach anyway.

There seems to be alot of support for Broome, maybe he can turn things around if he gets help. If he can't bring anyone in he might have problems getting cooperation from undesired coaches in the building, most of which just do it for the money and put all their eggs into the other sports they coach. Hey, one coach quit coaching for a year because he did not get the job when Armstrong was hired, and now he's tring to make a comeback; give me a break, where is the loyalty and love for the kids with that move. Try on the girls volleyball team.

Broome and Bodenhamer are two young coaches who would instill life into this Metro coaching fraternity. It seems that a lot of the head jobs go to older coaches who are known, let the young guys in and give them a shot, that is one way to beef up competition. Look at Johnson at Stratford. It can be done, the opportunity is just needed.

The success or failure of the program is going to be a reflection on his leadership ability, and he should be able to get the man he wants.
