BombSquad
Alright, all of the serious tennis players like myself know how we like to get strung, and everbody has a personal stringer, some do it themselves. I want to hear you brag about your stringer, come on these stringers could use some more business to put food on the table. Don't hold back, let it all hang out: Who can outstring who? Who tightens your rope? Who makes your racket shoot rockets? Who slings your string? Who makes your stick look slick? Who gives you that extra gusto? Who makes your string bling? hsfball
I heard that Bobby Boo out at Lipscomb can string some girls rackets. Anything they ask he will do. He strings well for power, but his specialty is stringing for control, or so he thinks. He'll do whatever it takes to help those girls, even if it means sacrificing something/somebody else. They call him the "minute man" cause if they come a' callin' he comes a' stringin. Edited April 27, 2004 by hsfball
tennisguy
"Minute Man," lol, that is wrong on so many levels . A racquet stringer who is as good as they get as far as getting tension right and service is Rodney Williams in Nashville. He strings out of the back of his truck and will meet you pretty much anywhere around Nashville, plus he can fly at stringing racquets. He takes no longer than 15 minutes but he will take sometimes longer because he does like to talk. A good stringer and an even better guy. saywhat?
my stringer's got bling bling. he'll remain unknown, but he's like the police academy guy. after he strings my raquet, he plays it like a guitar.
marshy07
Nevada Bob's tennis shop in Nashville does a great job stringing for a reasonable price. You can tell them just how you like it and they will do a great job...
saywhat?
what sort of "perks" do they offer?

datrain
fellas, are we seriously bragging on our stringers? are our lives so much of a black hole that we feel compelled to talk trash about some random college import from the far reaches of siberia that can string a racket in 10 minutes flat? btw...his name is Krunch Kloeberdanz
Harris' hooligans
i think bombsquad really wanted to start a thread for this sport but had no idea what to put so he came up with..... "Best Racquet Stringers" its ok we forgive you but this does get my vote for the dumbest thread ever

2Aguru
DUMBEST THREAD EVER? what are you thinking? The ability to string a racket is the most overlooked aspect in the great sport of tennis. I have seen a good racket be the key in many great victories over the years. This Bobby Boo character does seem a bit shady though. I think Harris' hooligans is a little perturbed that he didnt come up with it, but "its ok we forgive you". Keep up the good threads Bomb Squad.
