gk88
can someone from the game explain how it went down
FHSrebel27
Hmmmm. I don't know what to think. Brentwood has the number one seed already... just played a physical game with BGA Wednesday. They probably rested a lot of guys tonight to get everyone good and healthy for the post season. That would be my guess.
RHSKeeper1
Brentwood played their starters a lot of the game. not much subing. they passed the ball around really well and attacked a lot. we scored in the 65th minute and then Brentwood upped the pressure even more. soccermadness
i dont understand the logic...why would a team play half of their starters and lose? especially when u r currently #1 in the state and #22 nationally
cw160
Maybe because: a. some things are more important than winning, b. he doesn't care about rankings or what you think, or c. though this may sound inconceivable to you, Ravenwood just won the game
freekick2001
I dont understand it either except maybe they thought they wouldnt be #1 anyway after losing to BGA. Rankings as we all know are overrated. Even with the people they put on the field you would have thought they could have scored. Must have been a great game for Ravenwood. You would think that Brentwood would want to play strong after losing to BGA, but it is possible they simply got outplayed. But even though Brentwood has slipped in the last week or so, they are still going to be tough in the playoffs. That'sIgnorant
Lowder was gone so was our starting left back. Our starting center mid got hurt and starting right back got red carded. We dominated the game. They played pretty much 7 to 8 guys in the back with 3 forwards up top. Possession wise it was probably like an 80-20 in our favor. Im sure you guys can imagine the kind of game. They play defense the whole time and then get a sort of breakaway and put in. We definitely didnt get outplayed, they just had a game plan and used it. Were not worried agbout it though, were the #1 team in the district, and the road to region still goes trhough us.
phillijk
Congrats to Ravenwood! I think Brentwood got a little over confident and upsets happen that way. Would Brentwood win 4 out of 5 times... probably... but not this time. That's why sports are so fun! Ravenwood is well coached and has a future! nickforte4261
WOW! i didn't know Brentwood was that stupid! Why on earth, would one of your starters go and get a Red Card and then make himself ineligable for the next game, which is district tourny? Pretty Smart!! Well congrats to Ravenwood and Coach West.
