Tssaa vs. Hillwood

When will Tssaa rule on the Hillwood case. I bet the Gallatin folks are watching closely to see if the punishment fits the crime.

Several violations, compounded by possible coverup. Two Hunters Lane students practicing spring football at Hillwood is enough for severe punishment although there are other allegations that may come out in the investigation.

GWAVE1, Thought you might be interested in knowing the incident was reported in May. The Tssaa acted a little quicker in the GHS case, but I quess the playoffs were in question. I wonder how the McGavock principal will vote being it is a metro school .

The T$$AA, has got quite a few eyes on them at the present time.

The case will be interesting to many people. Is fairness applied even handed, and is punishment given equally. Will all the facts be published, so the general public will be aware of the violations? Metro has had a history of stonewalling and cover-ups when great wrong is done.

Lilal, I didnt think it was a violation for two players (the two HL's boys) to come to Hillwood's spring practices if they are going to attend Hillwood in the upcoming school year. I'm not an expert on tssaa rules but if that's a major violation then it seems like it's a real stupid one.

You have to be in attendance at the school to practice with them. Obviously these two were still enrolled at HL at the time. Whether they were going to move or not is not the issue. TSSAA are very clear on that transfer rule, and this is definitely a rule that head coaches DO know and should abide by. I even think you have to be enrolled 3 days before you can practice, with your transfer form already filed with TSSAA.
