Best / Nicest Stadiums

Wow, nobody from Sevier County on this board? I have no affiliation with them, but I think their stadium is top notch. The way it's built into the hillside, and when you walk inside the stadium and first see the field way down below is very impressive. From an atmosphere standpoint I love to go to AE. The AE people always treat you great win or lose, and the chicken wings are fantastic.

I will say I am a bit partial about both Blankenship Field (in Oak Ridge) and Rochelle Field (in Coalfield), but another great Friday night venue for high school football is J Fred Johnson Stadium in Kingsport. Great atmosphere and great DB fans.

I really like the idea of bleachers in the end zone for high school games and saw an OR-Clinton tilt in the end zone at Clinton. Their field is very small in terms of seating capacity, however the fans are on top of the field. If they could keep the stadium in it's place and expand on seating (something that may not be possible) it would be an even better place to watch a game.

I haven't seen a game at The Pit in Lincoln County, but have heard a lot of things about the place and want to see a game there when an opportunity presents itself. I have also heard great things about Riverdale's new place and wouldn't mind a trip to middle TN to see it at some point.

Everyone loves watching a game in their house and the fields and stadiums of Tennesseee are as revered and respected as anyplace in the country by fans that call them home. If you take in a game on Friday night, take a moment and look around at what is going on around you. Take in the experience and I'll dare say you'll appreciate this game and the kids who play it each week even more.

Dyer County stadium in Newbern gets my vote for best stadium in West Tennessee!

It is head & shoulders above anything else I have seen...fold down stadium seats, concessions similar to UT's, great lights, press box & sound system are great...really looks like a small college stadium to me.

It's relatively new (5 years?) and is a great place to watch a game!

When it gets down to it, McMinn County has the one of, if not the best high school stadium in the state of Tennessee. Normally a HS stadium gives the home fans the nice, clean side. But at McMinn both sides are clean, spacious, and flat out nice. The field also has great grass. Plus it seats 6,500+. Cherokee Stadium is definitely one of the best atmospheres in TN HS Football.
