I'm not so sure Lawrence County has a scrap of pride left after tonight's loss. A region loss such as that one can be EXTREMELY demoralizing. Me and a few of my buddies went to the game (GCHS football players) and the fans were too worried about us and not worried enough about getting creamed by CCHS.

Why did Lawrence Co wear practice uniforms? This game counts does it not?

:D Yeah. us LC fans have nightmares about GC and the 3 wins you obtained last year.

The uniforms they wore are just for the first few games. They are the throwback jersey's from mid-80's. If you noticed they only had one purple stripe down their helmet too. It's just for the first few games. I guarantee that the same Lawrence County team will not be present at the Cowbell Game.

I figured Lawrence County would come out gunning for Columbia, being a region game and all. Columbia looked extremely fast, especially their RB. #34 on Lawrence Co took some super licks, at one point having to come out of the game (on the TD just before half-time).

Any word on #51's ankle(?) injury? He was down about mid-way thru the 2nd quarter and looked like he was in some real pain.

Your never as good as people say you are, and your never as bad as people say you are. Many people will be saying that Lawrence County is a bad team after the loss to Columbia. I guarantee that Lawrence County will be working harder than ever this week to regain their pride and be on top of their game this Friday when they face the Bobcats. It really doesn't matter how much scouting was done at the Columbia game, because the Lawrence County team will be totally unrecognizable from the team they had against Columbia.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
