Guy's can't play volleyball, so they shouln't be allowed to play football. Look I'm all for women being treated as equals. In fact they are my favorite sex, but if we can't play girls only sports then they shouldn't be allowed to play guy's! Besides women are not made to take on 300 pound linemen or 200 pound running backs. The bottom line is we're not allowed to play their sports so they shouldn't be allowed to play our's.

ok just to let you know Ive lined up against the 2 time state heavyweight champion and took the pain and ive delt with the injuries so i don't wanna hear that you doubt id line up against you if you were 6-4 250lbs. When you know who Ive lined up against then maybe you can talk trash till the just take your self to the house

Yeah, I'm sure you have lined up vs. somebody; but i seriously doubt you have lined up vs. the best and biggest. You probably go to a 1a school that gets destroyed everytime they go out and play. I'd like to see you go up against a top notch d-lineman or any player and get ran over.

Well... time for some enlightenment. They were going to start a women's pro team a while back but I haven't heard much about it since. And what is all the fuss about. All I hear is, "let 'em play, we'll crush the!" Ooo! That takes some brass. Look let 'em play. There are programs out there that already let them play, even though it isn't huge. And as for scientific mumbo-jumbo. Open a text book or do some research, FEMALES HAVE A HIGHER PAIN TOLERANCE THAN MALES! Look I'm not all about give women this and give women that, but how the H3LL would you feel if someone told you that you couldn't play. Give women time they will catch up physically (some already have), but that comes from years of being in the home (don't be the idiot to say "yeah where the belong"or "yeah and they should stay there too! HAHA." I don't see what the big deal is, unless a few of you "macho I want to hurt some chick guys" are intimidated. Maybe you should think about that?

Are you kidding me!? Please... how many of you have lined up against the biggest and the best? You're a joke. I would like to see half the people who posted that girls shouldn't play line up against the "BIGGEST AND THE BEST." You know what I bet over half of the people who posted this would get ran over. Apparently you aren't the biggest and the best since you made reference to someone else, so keep quiet. Personally I would like to see this girl line up against you tough guy. LOL!

they should start a girls league or powderpuff league. I dont think most girls would play tackle with guys and no offense to the ladies but thats just a littel extreme because your average girls doesnt bench 60lbs!

I think girls should be able to play football. I guess it's the whole equal opportunity thing....if they wanna get hit by guys and complain about it, let them! As long as there's no special treatment (i.e. less conditioning exercises or preference come cutting time), I see no problem. There was a girl on Clinton's team last year...she might be on this year's team too...and I don't know of any distractions due to it.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
