well i am a die-hard Vandy fan, but being from TN, i HAD to root for UT in this one and i was a skeptic to whether he had the leg or not, i heard he hit alot of long FG's at Hendersonville?? and muffin man, the guy retaliated, the guy who retaliates is ALWAYS the guy flagged, he shouldnt have punched back and they would have been fine

much appreciated, lol. Hes a good guy. Grew up together actually. Glad to see him successful at the college level. Thats not an easy kick in such a high pressure situation. If you watched the reply...it would have been good from 60, lol.

i could care less about both teams, but agree that it was a great game to watch. you hate see officiating have a deciding outcome in the game but that personal foul on baker should have not been called, unless it was offsetting, ref looked right at the instigator and didnt call on him, i know your always supposed to flag the one who retaliates, but call it both ways. you got the feeling if wilhoit got another chance that he would redeem himself

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
