Congratulations to the MP Tigers. They played an exceptional game and they should be proud. Maybe now they will get some respect. I don't mean to jump a few weeks but I hope that the Wayne Co. squad is a bit more classy than the Collinwood bunch. C-wood wasn't used to the wooping they took and they started getting a little bit pushy. MP was very physical last night and C-wood couldn't take the punishment. And their fans were just as bad. MP owed C-wood a wooping. Good job guys.

oh good lord!!!!

well,,,,,,,,,,,um,,,,,,,,,,,uhh,,,,,,,,,,heh, i guess all you can say is point made.

oh yeah, there wouldn't happen to be a seat left on that bandwagon would there? cause mp is rollin!

i think every one including me that picked cwood to win was probably trying to deny the inevitabel. mp is that good and they proved it last night.

as far as the wc/ca game whent.... my gosh, that was the worst game i have ever watched. ca only had 104 total yards while wc had 147 yards in penalties. we started off rolling. we had scored a td on both of our opening drives and ruddle had broke another one around the corner and then the unthinkable happened. he pulls up slow with a hammy. we then decided to fumble the ball on the next three possesions and continued to do so through the rest of the game. luckily ruddle was well enough to play in the second half and led us on about a five min. drive where he carried the ball almost every play and stuck it in the endzone to seal the ugly win.

i guess a win is a win but ours was more of a reality check than a total domination like mp's.

congrats mp, you earned the respect of me and about everyone else in the area.

Great win for the Tigers!! Mp definetly showed they are an elite team last night. Mp must keep a level head on them!! One game at a time and good things will keep coming! Also Mp needs to look at that Wayne Co./CA game and see that they must not overlook anyone! I have never seen an Mp team that looks like they are having so much FUN playing the game! They play so much looser than they did in the past and a lot of that has to go to the coaching staff that is doing a wonderful job keeping these kids motivated!! Go Tigers, keep it up!

bottomline,

Why don't you tell us what classless acts you witnessed Friday in C'wood. All the fans I witnessed were just disgusted that we played so bad and got whipped like we did. None of it was directed at MP. I didn't see anything on the field that was unsportsmanlike. How many penalties were called on C'wood for unsportsman like conduct? MP played a great game and won big. It is some of the MP fans that are showing no class on here after the win. On another thread it was stated at least your starters got to play 3 quarters. Well they played until the 9 minute mark of the 4th quarter. The game was well in hand before then.

Why did they need to play that long? It was 2 years ago when C'wood beat MP very bad, but the starters came out after the 1st series in the 3rd quarter. Maybe your coach wanted to run it on up this year. Thats fine and it doesn't bother me. MP was obviously the better team, but I did not see any one from C'wood being classless. If they were, then I will apologize on there behalf right now. Good luck to MP the rest of the season and hopefully some of your fans will learn to win with class.

Greenman,

I don't know and don't care who said that the Collinwwod fans showed ANY bad sportsmanship towards any of our players or fans. I witnessed nothing but shock and disbelief on both sides . If indeed a Mt. Pleasant fan did that, then I appologize. As snowman said, there are a few in every crowd. I thought everyone behaved very well considering the score. As for our starters, they came out ( most of them ) in the last minutes of the 3rd. Like I said, everyone from Collinwood I encountered was very friendly, just as everyone that I was around on the Mt. Pleasant side was. Best of luck to the Trojans for the rest of the year.

I seen the guy get escorted out and I'm not sure who he was or if he had ever even been to a Mt. Pleasant game before or not. I promise you he was not a good representation of Mt. Pleasant or Collinwood fans. You can't generalize everyone based on the acts of one. We won you lost we enjoyed it you probably didnt. I'm not sure anyone from Collinwood needs to question anyone's coach as far as class goes. You dont want to start that debate do you?

How is that a debate? If you are reffering to Coach Statom, well thats rediculous. He has shown class throughout his entire tenure at CHS. Collinwood has had many occasions where they could easily have scored 70+ points on many teams, but Coach Statom has always called off his starters. I've seen him scorn when his players have pushed the score to 45. If there was any doubt about his class, he would have had Dixon stick it in the endzone at MP last year instead of downing it. Here it is, its 41-0 almost the end of the third quarter. Collinwood hasn't threatened all night. But hey they have playmakers so lets put it out if reach. Lets throw it to J.Web one more time. TD :D 4 minutes into the fourth, lets let our starters drive it down to the 20 and stick our 2nd string in there. :o Thats about all I have to say about that. Respond if you like. But thats the way I feel. Im not knocking the players in any way. They played some of the best ball I've seen in a while.

The last touchdown to Webster was a pass that where he didnt even go down the field. The quarterback just stood and threw it towards the sideline just to pick up a first down. Two guys had angles on him but neither wanted to tackle him so he ran with the ball 65 yards. What was he supposed to do, get the first down and take an knee. I think that would be more humiliating than scoring.
